2008 State of the Child Report A Critical Review of Our Children Today and Tomorrow

Objectives of the conference
· Present emerging issues, concerns and challenges regarding the state of children in
· Identify effective strategies for improving the state of children.
· Provide a forum for community involvement that addresses prevention measures.
· Identify resources available for children and youth in our community.
This conference is FREE TO THE PUBLIC but PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED so that adequate space and food is prepared for those in attendance. Spaces will be filled on a first-come/first-served basis. A confirmation of your registration will be faxed and/or emailed. Human service agencies/organizations and non-profits that provide and promote services for families and children are encouraged to exhibit. Schedule of Events
The ACE Study is an ongoing collaboration between the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention and Kaiser Permanente. Led by Co-principal Investigators Robert F. Anda, MD,
MS, and Vincent J. Felitti, MD, the ACE Study is perhaps the largest scientific research study
of its kind, analyzing the relationship between multiple categories of childhood trauma (ACEs),
and health and behavioral outcomes later in life.
